Belvedere

New civil engineering venture goes underground.

Making the complex appear straightforward, custom and bespoke luxury home construction, Belvedere has added a new facet to its business.

With a portfolio of projects that have required extensive civil engineering preparation and works, including large-scale basement construction, swimming pools and HVAC building controls, Belvedere is now providing civil engineering and groundworks to other housebuilders and developers.

The new civils venture consolidates a long-term working relationship between Belvedere and Lucas Groundworkers.
Paul Lucas said: “Together the two firms represent 60 years of experience in groundworks and housebuilding.
Our expertise is in the indoor or outdoor construction of swimming pools, concrete foundations, piling, deep excavation and steelworks."

With the current complex planning restrictions for new-build, the expectation is for clients and developers to maximise the opportunity for lower-level accommodation.
Keith Da Costa has seen an increasing demand for accommodation below ground. In Runnymede, for example, a new 12,000 sq ft house has 8,000 of its floor area underground. On Robin Hill, another large property has 20,000 of its total 28,000 sq ft below ground level.

As the only residential constructor in the region with its own in-house civil engineering arm, Belvedere is putting its own expertise to good use at its new large residential project on the renowned Camp Road in Gerrards Cross. The new Belvedere 10,000 sq ft project is breaking new ground in this area for the quality of finish and specification. The property has an underground car park for six cars and a below-ground swimming pool complex.

Lucas Groundworkers has worked all over the UK with its own plant, drivers and teams of sub-contractors and one of its current projects is a large residential development site in Wandsworth on the edge of the Thames, where extensive de-watering is underway to keep the site dry. Lucas has provided civil engineering and groundworks to developers with the knowledge-base, equipment and manpower to ensure first rate results on every project, that includes the recent construction of a 5,000 sq ft basement below the water-line of the River Chess, requiring 15 metre piles and a concrete floor slab.

It is the collective effort and desire to achieve the best result by all involved that makes every home a standalone success.

Whether it is creating a family home, country residence, an architecturally cutting edge design or a complex refurbishment, in each instance experienced craftsmen and professionals work to a structured schedule using the best quality products and materials.

From groundwork to final landscaping, Belvedere's capable project managers supervise all aspects of the work and check every element of the project to an infinite level of detail. The result is... perfection.

The Belvedere X factor
It is the fact that Belvedere, along with most developers of high end and bespoke homes, provides an exceptionally good product.

What distinguishes Belvedere from the competition is quality of materials and innovative design.

With impeccable execution and a high degree of flexibility, we expend great effort in the design and space utilisation of our homes. We work with top international design consultants to ensure that each project is contemporary and unique.

Belvedere introduces as standard many features one would either not be offered, such as Firefighter extingisher system, or items that are generally only offered at an additional premium, for example, air conditioning.
